Plantation program organized by Delhi Teachers University under ‘Ek Trees Mother’s Name’ campaign

The Delhi Teacher University took a commendable initiative towards environmental protection and organized a tree plantation program under the ‘Ek Tree Maa Naam’ campaign. The event was held in the prestigious Harijan Sevak Sangh campus established by Mahatma Gandhi. On this occasion, the University Registrar Dr. Sanjeev Rai, while addressing the students, teachers and officials of Harijan Sevak Sangh, stressed the importance of environmental protection. He said that plantation is not only a symbolic function, but it is also associated with our social and family values. This campaign, which connects reverence for mother and gratitude towards nature, is an inspirational attempt. In the program, the university’s finance controller Prakash Pandey ji described the inspirational step towards social consciousness and environmental awareness.

During the program, all the students, teachers, university and Harijan Sevak Sangh officials together performed trees and performed Shramdaan under the cleanliness drive. This effort of the university is an important step towards encouraging social responsibility and environmental consciousness among students. Representatives of Harijan Sevak Sangh also appreciated this initiative of the university and said that such programs are an important initiative towards realizing Gandhiji’s views. The presence of Dr. Saroj Malik, Dr. Rajesh Prasad Singh, Dr. Nasruddin, Dr. Jai Shankar Shukla and Dr. Binod Kumar in the program was notable.
