Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, while answering his role on his role in the 2029 general election, on Saturday claimed that what was seen in the last 11 years was just a “news reel” and the real film is yet to come. However, the senior BJP leader insisted that the party decides the responsibility of its officials, he said that whatever capacity he will work for him, he will work.

Nitin Gadkari said in an interview to Uday Nirgudkar on the completion of 11 years of Narendra Modi government, “What has happened so far was the news reel. The real film is to begin and remain.” Gadkari said, “The party worker’s responsibilities and what he will do decides. Whatever responsibility I will be given to me, I will fulfill it.” He emphasized that he has never published his political biodeeta nor has he ever asked supporters to organize a grand reception for them at the airports.

Gadkari said that his personal desire is to work towards preventing farmers’ suicides in Vidarbha. The Union Road Transport and Highways Minister said, “Nowadays I do more work on agriculture and other social initiatives instead of road construction.” Asked why India’s per capita income is not in the top 10 in the world, the Union Minister said that the country’s population is responsible for this. Supporting the Population Control Bill, he said, “This is not a religious or linguistic issue. It is an economic issue. Despite so much development, the results are not visible. The reason is the increasing population.”
