Sarhul Puja was organized in the amphitheater of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University with full rituals. Sarhul Puja and cultural program was organized by TRL department. DSW Dr. SM Abbas discussed the natural importance of Sarhul festival while mentioning the environmental crisis in the present context. Former Vice Chancellor and anthropologist Dr. Satyanarayan Munda discussed various aspects of tribal culture while explaining the importance of Sarhul festival. PRO Rajesh Kumar Singh told that Professor Ramdas Oraon, coordinator of TRL department, kept his views on Sarhul festival. On the occasion, Finance Officer Anand Mishra, Dr. Jinder Singh Munda, writers Mahadev Toppo, Soma Singh Munda and Dr. Vinod Kumar, Head of Department of Khortha language were present. The stage was operated by Dr. Dumini Murmu and Dr. Jaikishore Mangal. Dr. PP Mahato proposed the vote of thanks.
On the auspicious occasion of Prakriti Parv Sarhul, a service camp was organized by Shri Mahavir Mandal Ranchi Mahanagar near Albert Ekka Chowk located on the main road. In this, water and gram were distributed among all the Sarna brothers and sisters involved in the Sarhul Shobhayatra and all the Pahans of the Akhara were honored by giving them garlands, organ clothes and Momento under the leadership of Kunal Ajmani, President of the Mandal. Mandal’s convenor Dr. Dilip Soni, Vice President Shambhu Prasad, Rajeswar Rajan, Anil Kesari, Lalit Chaudhary, Vikrant Vishwakarma, Navjot Alang, Badal Singh, Rohit Sharda, Amit Gupta, Pradeep Jain, Ashok Thakur, Bipin Burman, Ankit Sarkar, Rahul Soni, Anshul Kumar, Kumar Saurabh, Umesh Prasad, Aman Kumar etc. were mainly involved.
