The great British director Peter Brook’s ‘Mahabharata’ renovation has been digitally restored to the big screen and will have a UK premiere at this year’s London Indian Film Festival (LIFF). In this 1989 film, Mallika Sarabhai played the role of Draupadi, which was part of a great global actors, which will get the Central Gala Red-Corruption Screening on the Central Gala Red-carpet screen on the British Film Institute (BFI), the British Film Institute (BFI).

Many international actors have acted in the film. Next month, the film will have a ‘Central Gala Red Carpet Screening’ on the British Film Institute (BFI) on the largest IMAX screen. The film, telling the story of love, philosophy and war, is a popular transformation of an epic story that contains the entire humanity. The film is being screened on the 100th birth anniversary of director Brooke. Brooke was awarded the Padma Shri in the year 2021 by the Government of India.

The LIFF 2025 will also have many other films of attraction, including the Tamil-French film ‘Little Jaffna’ and director Reema Das’s Assamese film ‘Village Rockstars 2’. Festival director Carrie Rajinder said, “We are happy that we will showcase some of the best Indian films in South Asia in London and Birmingham in July. These include director Lawrence Valin’s ‘Little Jaffna’, Indian director Laxmipriya Devi’s film ‘Bungi’ and Padmashri’s veteran Britain director Peter Brook’s grand director Peter Braoch.”
He said that programs organized during the festival would showcase the creative ability of Britain -born and settled South Asian filmmakers and will search for future partnerships with Indian filmmakers. A new program has also been added to encourage the British South Asian talents to the festival to be held in London and Birmingham from 16 to 23 July.
The program is part of the effort to connect the country’s South Asian youth with the film industry. This new initiative has collaborated with Rifco Theater. Along with this, the regular ‘Brit-ASian shorts’ program of the festival will also continue.
