People from the Indo-Pakistan border region of Fazilka have started leaving the village. People are going towards safe places by filling household goods in tractor trolleys.

Local people say that during the 1965-71 war, Pakistan surrounded the region and took many people captive. This is why they are now forced to leave their territory for fear of war.

Giving information, Fauja Singh, Khushal Singh, Baljinder Singh and Gurcharan Singh, residents of village Pakka Chishti, said that there is an atmosphere of tension between India and Pakistan after the air strike on Pakistan by India. Due to which the said people are going towards safe places with their household items.

Pak soldiers looted everything lying in homes

He says that Pakistan captured the region during the 1965-71 war. Due to which he had taken many people of this region captive. When the atmosphere calmed down and the agreement was reached between the two countries, Pakistan left the Indian people.

But during this war, the said people looted all their belongings in their homes. This is the reason why they do not want to see that scene again. Due to which people are emptying their homes and going to safe places.
