The state government on Wednesday formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) under the supervision of the Retired Judge of the High Court to investigate the matter amid demonstrations for alleged leaks of graduate level examination papers of Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC).
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami warned that his government will not sit peacefully till the copy of the mud. Officials said that the five -member SIT has been constituted on September 21 under the chairmanship of Dehradun Superintendent of Police (Rural) Jaya Baluni, who is investigating the matter.
Earlier, the Chief Secretary of the state Anand Bardhan informed about the decision to set up an SIT at a press conference here and said that the entire state will be under its investigation and it will submit its report in a month.
Bardhan said that the interest of students is paramount for the state government and this decision was taken to maintain the credibility and purity of the examination system among the general public and students. He said that for a fair and independent investigation of the case, it has also been decided that it will act under complete supervision of the retired judge of the SIT, High Court. The Chief Secretary said that this investigation process will be completed by the SIT in one month.
He said that strict action would be taken against the persons found guilty in the investigation. He said that all necessary steps will be taken to prevent recurrence of such incidents in future.
The Chief Secretary also said that the state government will also take action against the room inspector or supervisor or any other person posted at the concerned examination center in Haridwar, due to the negligence that caused the incident. He said that the state government will also request the UKSSSC that no further action should be taken in relation to this examination until this investigation is completed.
The ‘screenshot’ of the three -page photo of the undergraduate level competitive examination question paper held by the Commission on Sunday appeared on social media, in which the time of taking photos was seen shortly after the commencement of the exam. In this case, the police arrested the main accused Khalid Malik and his sister Sabia from Haridwar, who appeared as a candidate in the examination.
According to the police, Khalid took a photo of the question paper from the examination center made at Adarsh Bal Sadan Inter College located in Bahadarpur Jat village of stone area in Haridwar and sent his sister to Sabia, who sent questions to Suman, a assistant professor of Tehri, and received answers.
Meanwhile, Suman suspected the questions after which he took his screenshot and shared this information with another person who uploaded it on social media instead of going to the police or a competent officer, which broadcast him. On the other hand, in a program of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Chief Minister alleged that his government would not sit peacefully until his government would until the ‘copy jihadis’ are organized in the soil under a conspiracy in the state.
He said, “To push the future of the youth into darkness, conspiracies are being made to leak the paper. The coaching mafia and copying mafia are trying to tease ‘copy jihad’ in the state. Already, they are trying to spread chaos in the state before the investigation. ”
He warned and said, “But I want to tell all those copying mafia and jihadis that our government will not sit peacefully until the mafia is mixed in the soil in the state.”
Dhami said that strict anti -copying law was implemented in the state to curb the cheating mafia, after which more than 25 thousand youth have been given government jobs in the last four years. He said that only 16 thousand people had got jobs in 21 years after the formation of the state.
However, the Chief Minister said that some people do not like that the youth should be selected in a government job on the basis of their merit, capacity and talent. He also said that after the implementation of the anti -duplication law, more than 100 cheating mafia have been transported behind the prison bars since 2022.
On the other hand, since the matter came to light, there is a protest and sit -in protest on the matter of youth associated with the unemployed union, who are demanding strict action against the culprits. The main opposition party Congress has set up a protest on Friday to demand an inquiry from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of the case.
Senior Vice President of the State Congress, Organization, Suryakant Dhasmana alleged that on one hand angry youth are on the streets, on the other hand the BJP and its government are giving the paper leak case to copy Jihad. Dhasmana said that on September 26, on the instructions of State Congress President Karan Mahra, the party will organize a sit -in at the district headquarters across the state to demand CBI investigation of the case.
