However, Bhutto denied any involvement of the Government of Pakistan or the Army in the Pahalgam attack and termed such allegations as propaganda. He stressed that Pakistan does not support terrorism and has suffered a lot due to this. He said that we have lost more than 92,000 lives due to terrorism, including 1,200 citizens in more than 200 attacks last year. If this series continues, 2025 may be the bloody year in the history of Pakistan. Bhutto described the incident in Pahalgam as a terrorist attack, but rejected the allegations of collusion of the state. He said that Pakistan had offered to join a fair international investigation, but India rejected the proposal. He insisted that our hands are clear.

When asked repeatedly about the presence of groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, Bhutto admitted that he was active in Pakistan. He argued that these groups emerged during the Afghan jihad and were once considered a “freedom fighter”. He clarified that neither his party, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), nor his mother, Benazir Bhutto ever supported these groups. According to him, after 9/11 they were declared a terrorist organization and since then Pakistan has taken action against them.
