Pakistan’s AWACS aircraft (airborne warning and control system) has been destroyed in India’s attack. Pakistan bought it from China.
Pakistan’s retired Air Force Chief Masood Akhtar has confessed to losing the aircraft in Operation Sindoor, India.
In an interview to Pakistani media, Akhtar said that India has destroyed the aircraft in an exact missile attack on Bholari airbase.
They said,
India fired four consecutive BrahMos missiles on the Bholari airbase on the night of 9 and 10 May. Our pilots ran to save their aircraft, but missiles continued to come. The fourth missile fell on the hanger of Bholari airbase, where one of our AWACS stood. He was damaged

Awacs aircraft is useful for surveillance
This AWACS aircraft of Pakistan had long distance radar monitoring and airspace control capacity.
AWACS aircraft is able to detect enemy aircraft, ships, vehicles, missiles and other projectiles from a distance.
This helps operators identify, assess and take action of the danger in the ground and air.
India’s attack on Bholari just 100 km from Karachi
India targeted Bholari airbase, which was less than 150 km from Pakistan’s port city Karachi. According to Indian military officials, he made an accurate attack on an aircraft hanger.
Satellite photographs made India’s claim correct. In the pictures, there is a clear loss at the hanger’s place.
India run operations against Pakistan
26 people were killed by Pakistan-backed terrorists on 22 April in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In response to this attack, India ran operation vermilion against Pakistan.
India attacked 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan with missiles and drones on the night of 6 and 7 May. In this attack, India said that more than 100 terrorists died.
