India has insisted that the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan will remain postponed until the Islamabad border supports terrorism “reliable and irreversibly” does not stop “because” water and blood “cannot flow together.
Pakistan’s Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir on Thursday termed the Indus Water Treaty as ‘Red Line’, saying that Islamabad would never compromise on the water issue, as it is associated with the fundamental rights of 240 million people of the country. Munir’s comment came when he was addressing Vice Chancellors, Principal and senior teachers and academics from various universities. He said that Pakistan will never accept Indian suzerainty. He said that water is the red line of Pakistan and we will not allow any compromise on this basic rights of 240 million Pakistanis. He was referring to India’s move to postpone the Indus Water Treaty after the Pahalgam terror attack. The tension between India and Pakistan increased after the attack in Pahalgam on 22 April. 26 people lost their lives in this attack.
Munir falsely claimed that Pakistan had dropped six aircrafts of India. The Army Chief said that Pakistan will never accept India’s patronage. India has insisted that the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan will remain postponed until the Islamabad border supports terrorism “reliable and irreversibly” does not stop “because” water and blood “cannot flow together. Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal also said that any bilateral dialogue with Islamabad would only be held by Pakistan on vacancy of illegal occupied areas of Kashmir. India launched accurate attacks on the terrorist structure in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir on the morning of 7 May.
Referring to India’s move to postpone the Indus Water Treaty after the Pahalgam terror attack, he said, “We will not allow any compromise on this basic rights of 24 crore Pakistanis. Munir also claimed that terrorists in Balochistan have the support of India and terrorists who spread disturbance in the province are related to Baloch people.” The tension between India and Pakistan has increased after the terrorist attack on 22 April in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. 26 people lost their lives in this attack.
