In the final match of the Asia Cup 2025, there was a thrill between India and Pakistan. In this match played in Dubai, India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets and won the Asia Cup title for the 9th time. Pakistan could not make a big score after the best start of the team and the team collapsed for 146 runs in 19.1 overs. Team India achieved the target by losing two balls first five wickets.
At the same time, after India’s poor start, Tilak Verma played an unbeaten half -century and played the role of ‘Sankat Makshk’ for the team and made India cross the threshold of victory in a very exciting final match.
India needed ten runs in the last over and Pakistan’s fast bowler Haris Rauf, who was surrounded by controversies, was in the hand. Tilak hit a six on the second ball and on the fourth ball, Rinku Singh hit a four and drenched the fans sitting in front of the TV with the Indian audience in the stadium.
Chasing the target of 147 runs for the victory, India had a poor start and three wickets fell within 20 runs in the first five overs. After this, Tilak took a front and scored an unbeaten 69 in 53 balls while Sanju Samson (24) and Shivam Dubey (33 runs in 21 balls) supported him. Before the final, the team of Suryakumar Yadav and coach Gautam Gambhir showed fearless plays despite the early dismissal of the batsmen in the form and did not let the pressure dominate.
First Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets to consist of Pakistan for 146 runs in 19.1 overs and after that Tilak took the team to victory. He shared a 57 -run partnership with Sanju Samson and 64 runs with Shivam Dubey. The decisive moment of the match was Rowf’s 15th over in which Indian batsmen took 17 runs.
Rauf, who made inflammatory gestures to Indian fans in the Super 4 phase, gave 50 runs in 3.4 overs and did not get any wicket. Earlier, Abhishek Sharma (five) was dismissed early. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Faheem Ashraf, who handled the new ball for Pakistan, made slow balls which benefited. After the dismissal of Suryakumar (one) and Shubman Gill (12), there was silence in the Indian camp. After this Sanju and Tilak handled the innings. Sanju hit Saim Ayub six but lost wickets off Abrar. Earlier, with the help of a spectacular performance of spin trio led by Kuldeep Yadav, India dismissed Pakistan for 146 runs in 19.1 overs.
Without Hardik Pandya, the Indian team won the toss and decided to bowl but Pakistan made a very aggressive start. Opener Sahibzada Farhan (57 runs off 38 balls) and Fakhar Zaman (46 off 35 balls) shared an 84 -run partnership till the tenth over. However, in the last ten overs, Indian spinners brought him under complete pressure. Kuldeep took four wickets for 30 runs in four overs while Akshar Patel took 26 in four overs and Varun Chakraborty took two wickets for 30 runs. At one time, Pakistan’s score was 113 runs for one wicket when Fakhar and Saim Ayub were at the crease. After this, the Pakistani innings collapsed like cards.
India took the last nine wickets within 33 runs. Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets for 25 runs in 3.1 overs. Bumrah farewell to Haris Rauf on the first ball of the twentieth over, pointing to him as the aircraft fell. In the last match, Rauf made inflammatory gestures towards Indian fans. Indian spinners overturned the match in the last ten overs. Everyone bowled slowly while bowling. Pakistan started very well and both openers gave advice to loose balls.
India lacked Hardik in Powerplay. Farhan played Bumrah well like the last two matches. Shivam Dubey also hit fours in the first two overs. Pakistan scored 45 runs using the powerplay and did not lose a single wicket. Farhan hit Varun, Kuldeep and Akshar for a six while Fakhar hit Kuldeep six on the slog sweep. Fakhar completed 50 runs in 35 balls but did not celebrate. After the break, Varun caught Farhan on deep mid wicket by Tilak. Saim and Fakhar took the score to 113 runs after which no batsman could contribute.
