Pakistan: Destruction due to torrential rains and floods, Punjab province affected the most

Flood situation arose in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces due to torrential rains in a large part of Pakistan and at least 15 people died in the last 24 hours. Punjab Information Minister Azama Bukhari said in a statement on Sunday, “More than 2 million people have been affected by the severe floods in Punjab, while the government has saved 7,60,000 people and more than 5,00,000 animals trapped in the floods.”

According to data from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Punjab, more than 60 mm (mm) of rain occurred in more than a dozen places in Lahore, Hafizabad and Multan districts till 8 am on Sunday morning.
