Pak Army Chief ASIM Munir’s US invitation breaks, White House rejected reports

Recently there was a rumor that the General Aseem Munir of the Pakistani Army was invited as a guest at a military parade in Washington. However, Aseem Munir was not seen anywhere during the 250th anniversary of the US armed forces. Now, the sources in the White House have dismissed the reports and clarified that no foreign military leader was invited to this parade.
This explanation came after reports claiming that the US had sent an invitation to General Munir, after which a sharp political response started in India. The Congress party called it a ‘diplomatic blow’ for India, especially in the light of ‘Operation Sindoor’ (India’s recent accurate attack on terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK)). With this new revelation, this entire controversy has come to an end.

Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said in a post on X, ‘It is reported that Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir has been invited to a program organized at Washington DC on the occasion of US Army Day (14 June). This news is a big setback for India from diplomatic and strategic point of view.
The Congress leader asked, ‘This is the same person who used inflammatory and inflammatory language just before the Pahalgam terror attack, the question arises what is the intention of America?’ Meanwhile, the BJP dismissed these claims and accused Jairam Ramesh of ‘spreading misinformation’ and ‘attacking’ on India’s foreign policy.
BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya wrote on X, “Inspired by his constant enmity towards Prime Minister Modi, Jairam Ramesh irresponsibly promoted false claims, alleging that Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir was invited to the US parade.” He said, “In his curiosity to attack the Prime Minister, Ramesh not only spread wrong information, but also doubted India’s foreign policy, which effectively repeats the narratives that serve Pakistan’s interests.”

Reports of Pakistan’s Army Chief General Aseem Munir’s visit to Washington also promoted a protest among the Pakistani community in the US. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party announced a demonstration in the US capital during Munir’s visit. PTI’s Foreign Affairs Secretary Sajjad Burki called on the Pakistani Embassy to gather outside the Pakistani Embassy in Washington on 14 June and said, “Let us know the White House that no agreement with this government is acceptable to the people of Pakistan.”
