Outsourced Employees of Health Department.
In Kapurthala on Sunday, outsourced employees of the Health Department have formed a district level organization with their demands. About half of the employees in the health department are working on outsourced. Many of these employees have been working at less than 15-20 years.

Upkar Singh was elected president and Lakhveer Singh was elected as General Secretary in the district level meeting. Among other officials, Ankush Kumar was appointed cashier, Manjeet Kaur as senior vice president and Meenakshi Dhingra was appointed as Press Secretary.
Several senior officials were present in the meeting, including the state president of the Punjab Subardinet Services Federation, Gagandeep Singh Bhullar. The state president informed that similar organizations will be formed in other districts. Employees allege that companies are exploiting them. So far, no government has made a policy to regularize these employees.
The organization has devised a strategy of agitation regarding its demands. For this, Anchal, Daljit Kaur, Chaman, Jaswinder Kaur, Harman, Sarabjit Kaur, Deepika and Mandeep Kaur have been included in the district committee.
