Palestinian film director Hamadan Ballal, who won the Oscar Award, has been taken hostage by the Israeli army. His co-director Yoval Abraham gave this information on X.
Yoval said that some Israeli people hit Hamdan badly near his house in West Bank area. He suffered deep injuries in his head and stomach.
Yoval said that when Hamadan called an ambulance to get himself hospitalized, Israeli soldiers stopped the ambulance and abducted Hamdan. There is no information about Hamdan since then.
Hamdan and Yuval have jointly made the film ‘No Other Land’, which won the Best Documentary Award at the Oscar this year. The film shows the friendship and struggle that arises between Basel Adar and Yuval, a Palestinian worker during Jung.
