Opposition of AAP MP’s cousin in Barnala said: Farmers said – Department leaving work and laying pipeline, cousin’s fields will benefit – Barnala News

The farmers staged a sit -in in front of the work of laying the pipeline.

In Barnala, a dispute has arisen in the ancestral Kurud village of Aam Aadmi Party MP Meet Hair. The farmers of the village have opposed the canal pipeline going to the farm of the MP’s cousin. Under the leadership of sarpanch associated with AAP, farmers have given pipeline laying work

.

Several farmers, including Sukhwinder Das Bawa, Chairman of Market Committee Mahal Kalan, said that three pipeline projects for canal water were approved in the village. Work on one also started. But the canal department left the work in the middle and started laying the pipeline to the MP’s cousin’s fields.

Farmers say that the 50 -year -old raw canal of the village has been broken. First this work should be completed. Only then should a family be allowed to lay a pipeline. After the protest, Pawan Kumar Mandal, Divisional Engineer of the Canal Department and SDO Harpreet Singh Dhaliwal reached the spot from Bathinda. He assured that the needs of the villagers will be done first.

On the other hand, the MP’s cousin Gurdeep Singh says that he approved this pipeline after 5 to 6 months of hard work, there is no opposition to the farmers whose pipeline is to pass through the fields. Work is being stopped due to political rivalry.
