With the introduction of the celebration of Independence Day, the Center on Thursday honored Nine Indian Air Force officials with Vir Chakra for his brave contribution to the service of the nation during Operation Sindoor. Nine Indian Air Force officials have been awarded the Veera Chakra, including fighter pilots, who targeted the headquarters of Pakistan’s Muridke and the headquarters of terrorist groups in Bahawalpur and the military properties of the neighboring country.

Group Captain (GP) Ranjit Singh Sidhu, Manish Arora, Animesh Patni, Kunal Kalra, Wing Commander (WG CDR) Joy Chandra, Squadron Leader (Squadron Leader) Sarthak Kumar, Siddhant Singh, Rizwan Malik, Flight Lieutenant (FLT LT) have been awarded the Vire Chakra. The Indian Air Force has killed at least six Pakistani aircraft in this action. The Veer Chakra is a military valor award that is given to the heroes of war for their heroic works in the battlefield. This is the third largest award after Paramveer Chakra and Mahavir Chakra.
The award came after Air Chief Marshal AP Singh’s statement in which he said that India killed at least five fighter aircraft of Pakistan during Operation Sindoor and also killed a large aircraft which was demolished from a distance of about 300 km. He said that the aircraft that was killed is the largest surface -to -air aircraft ever, which we can talk about.
