He said that liquor shops like Five Star Hotel in every square and market are adorned. They allege that the government wants to keep people intoxicated to increase earnings from excise.
Speaking on the issue of farmers, Bittu said that he demanded a meeting several times, but was not heard. However, farmers have been talked about in front of Union ministers. He appealed to farmers and laborers to unite. He described the attack on Colonel Bath in Patiala as a failure of the Punjab Police. Bittu appealed to the people of Punjab not to harm people or their vehicles from other states. He reminded that the people of Punjab also live and travel to other states.
