Jalandhar Election: Voting for Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-election is going on. 5.21% voting has taken place in the first one hour. Voting will continue till 6 pm. Aam Aadmi Party candidate Sushil Rinku cast his vote from Jalandhar West. 1972 polling stations have been built in this Lok Sabha seat with 9 Vidhan Sabha constituencies, on which 16 lakh 21 thousand voters of the district will choose the new Member of Parliament | Jalandhar Santokh Singh Chaudhary, Member of Parliament from India, died of a heart attack during Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Joko Yatra in January this year. After which the by-election is taking place here. Counting of votes will be held on May 13.
AAP candidate Sushil Rinku came to cast his vote from Jalandhar West. They retaliated by calling Congress candidate Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary a traitor. Rinku said – he cheated. In 9 years he invested all the money of his fund in Phillaur Assembly instead of all 9 assembly constituencies to strengthen the political career of son Vikramjit Chaudhary.
Congress candidate Karamjit Kaur has also left home to vote. He said – ‘People should vote for that ideology, in which they feel that it will be beneficial for the country and Punjab. He appealed to the people to cast their vote.
Akali-BSP candidate Dr. Sukhwinder Sukhi said that there is great enthusiasm among the Akali Dal and BSP workers. Earlier, there was competition between Akali Dal and BSP in Phillaur, but now both are together, we will get the benefit of this. The departure of MP Chowdhury is sad but he did not do a single job during his 9 years as a parliamentarian. Aam Aadmi Party guaranteed 1000 for women and when I asked in the assembly they said they are not thinking about it. BJP has no base here.
