During the ‘No Kings’ protests at the US Salt Lake City, a man opened fire on a person trying to shoot at the protesters who were accompanied by Ekrahgir, in which the passerby died during treatment. The authorities gave this information on Sunday.
It is being told that the person shooting was part of the peacekeeper party. Sult Lake City Police Chief Brian Red told a press conference on Sunday that the police took the alleged attacker Ortor Gamboa (24), who was trying to shoot at the protesters, was taken into custody on Saturday evening on charges of murder.
The deceased passer was identified by 39 -year -old Arthur Folasa A. Has been done as heat stroke. Red said that the accused fired three bullets which hit Gamboa and Lu. Police said Gamboa has no criminal record. He is injured in the attack and was treated. A case has also been filed against him.
Red said that the attacker and another person saw Gamboa taking out a rifle around eight o’clock in the night. Eyewitnesses said that when both of them asked Gamboa about taking out the rifle, he picked up the rifle to shoot and ran towards the crowd.
After this, the person being said to be part of the peacekeeper party fired at Gamboa in which he suffered a minor injury but Lu died. Police said they have recovered an AR-15 rifle, a gas mask and a bag from the scene.
Investigators stated that they did not know why Gamboa took out the rifle but accused him of creating a dangerous situation which led to the death of Lu.
Police said that after firing the bullets, hundreds of protesters started running around. ‘No Kings’ demonstrations were organized on Saturday to protest against the autocratic policies of President Donald Trump across the country.
