A 15 -year -old girl, who was handed over a few days ago in Puri district of Odisha, died during treatment at Delhi AIIMS. This news was confirmed by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday. Meanwhile, the recent police statement on the matter has raised many questions. Police have said that no one else has been involved in his intensive investigation, while the girl’s mother alleges that her daughter was kidnapped and burnt.
Chief Minister expressed grief
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep grief over the incident. He tweeted, ‘I am deeply saddened to hear the news of the victim’s death in the Balga incident. Despite the efforts made round the clock of the government and AIIMS Delhi’s expert medical team, his life could not be saved.

Details of the event
This horrific incident took place on 19 July on the banks of the Bhargavi River. The girl was struggling between life and death for more than two weeks. She was burnt up to 75%. He was first treated at a local health center, then referred to AIIMS Bhubaneswar. On July 20, he was airlifted to Delhi AIIMS for better treatment, where several surgery and skin transplantation were performed before his death.
Mother and cousin statement
The victim’s mother has lodged a complaint with the police that her daughter has been kidnapped and murdered. According to him, the minor girl was abducted by three unidentified persons at around 8.30 am when she was returning from her friend’s house. He was taken to a deserted place near the Bhargavi river and put petrol and set it on fire. The girl’s cousin has also confirmed that she was kidnapped.
Father’s statement
At the same time, the girl’s father has claimed in a separate statement that her daughter committed suicide due to depression. He appealed not to do politics on this tragic incident and said, ‘Do not do politics on the death of my daughter. The government has cooperated as much as possible. My daughter’s life is lost due to mental depression.

Police statement
The Odisha Police has said that a thorough investigation into the matter. Police tweeted that no other person’s involvement has been found in the investigation. The police did not clarify how the girl caught fire. The police have also requested people not to make sensitive comments in this sad watch.
Political uproar
This incident has raised a big political issue in the state. Opposition party Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Congress have criticized the BJP government led by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi. They allege that women in the state are constantly becoming insecure due to the government’s inaction. Bijad chief Naveen Patnaik has also expressed condolences to the victim’s family, expressing grief over the incident.
