In addition to the central and state government agencies at the Air India aircraft accident site in Ahmedabad, a team of National Security Guard (NSG) has been deployed. 265 people were killed in this plane crash.
According to official sources, the NSG team is on the spot to assist other agencies in relief operations and has no power to investigate.
On Thursday, 242 people were aboard in the Air India aircraft – Boeing 787 Dreamliner – but some time after flying it crashed in a medical college campus in Meghaninagar area.
About 265 people died in this accident. The NSG commandos were seen at the accident site at the hostel building, where the back of the aircraft has been trapped since the accident.
Other agencies including the Bureau of Aircraft Investigation, DGCA, Ahmedabad Crime Branch and local police are involved in the investigation of the incident. Sources said that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials also visited the accident site in Meghaninagar on Friday.
