Senior BJP leader Uma Bharti shared her first response to all the seven accused, including former BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur, in the 2008 Malegaon blast case. Bharti expressed deep relief on the July 31, 2025 decision, in which Thakur, Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Purohit and others were acquitted in the absence of evidence after a 17 -year long legal battle. Malegaon blast killed six people and more than 100 people were injured.

Uma Bharti said that I am so happy that I do not have words to express words. The way he was tortured is very difficult for any woman to bear. He further said that I want to ask what should be punished for P Chidambaram, Digvijay Singh, Rahul Gandhi, Left, Samajwadi and Congress, who tried to establish the word saffron terror? … There should be extraordinary action against them.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Vinod Bansal said that the decision in the Malegaon blast case has clarified four things: Congress is responsible for promoting terrorism; He coined the false theory of Hindu or saffron terrorism; Third, the Congress saved real terrorists to defame Hindus; The investigating agencies were misused under the political agenda of the Congress to persecute the fourth, innocent Hindus.
