Demand for payment on deadline

At the same time, this notice has been sent to 6 shopkeepers of Red Cross Market and 3 shopkeepers of Sadar Bazar on behalf of Municipal Corporation officials. Shopkeepers will have to deposit the outstanding property tax, fine and interest amount within 3 days. Shops will be sealed if not paid within the deadline.

List of arrears is ready

The Corporation Commissioner has cited Section 138 (C) of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act 1976 in the notice. Under this law, the Municipal Corporation has the right to seal the shops that do not pay property tax. Municipal corporation officials have been appealed to the citizens to fill the property tax on the deadline, the corporation’s outstanding list is being prepared by the corporation, which will be taken soon.
