Not a war solution … Mehbooba Mufti said- Terrorists of Pahalgam attack have not yet been caught

Maluba Mufti, head of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), said that the war is not a final option due to India’s nuclear power. He said that the central government should have already sent multilateral delegation to other countries after the Pahalgam attack. Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti told ANI that what the Indian government is doing today – delegation is sending delegates to various countries – it should have already been done to spread awareness in other countries what has happened and what can be done. War is not an alternative when you are atomic power, even the last option.

Referring to the Pahalgam terror attack and the later situation, Mehbooba Mufti said that we lost 27-28 people in Pahalgam, and then we lost more people. Many houses were destroyed, and our city was destroyed. Children and women were killed, and terrorists involved in Pahalgam have not yet been caught. Then what did we achieve? Mufti said that this war was not between citizens, but between two countries. He suggested that the conflict could be resolved by political intervention and diplomacy.
He asked, “The government should do many things, because this is not our war. It is between the two countries – the thing that could be resolved by political intervention and diplomacy – where the knife was needed, you removed the sword. What would this be achieved?” He further said that both countries need to understand that war is not a solution because it only causes destruction, while people’s lives are affected in border areas.

Mufti said that I hope that both countries will understand that war is not a solution. War brings destruction and this increases the TRP of media. The lives of people living in the border areas, especially the people of Jammu and Kashmir, are ruined. Earlier, Mufti recently welcomed the Central Government’s decision to send an all-party delegation to major global capitals to inform various countries on Indo-Pakistan tension.
