The Congress party strongly criticized the BJP government after US President Donald Trump imposed a 25 percent tariff on India on Wednesday. The Congress party wrote in a post on X, “The country is now paying the price of Narendra Modi’s ‘friendship’.” It took place in Texas in September 2019 “Howdy Modi!” Citing the program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused Narendra Modi of campaigning for Trump.
The Congress, taking a sarcasm at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said that it used to talk about the challenge of top (top … tomatoes, onions and potatoes) in the country, but now India is facing a political challenge arising from Cap (China, America and Pakistan). Party General Secretary Jairam Ramesh also said that the attitude of US President Donald Trump is constantly becoming strict. He targeted the US for imposing 25 percent import duty on India.
Ramesh posted on ‘X’, President Trump’s attitude towards India is constantly becoming strict. Since May 10, Trump has claimed 30 times that he stopped Operation Sindoor. He has made these claims in four different countries. He hosted the lunch of the Pakistan Army Chief and Pahalgam terror attacks at the White House on 18 June. He said, on July 30, Trump imposed a 25 percent fee on exports from India to America and additional penalty on India’s oil and defense purchase from Russia.

At the same time, six Indian companies were also banned for having a relationship with Iran. Ramesh mentioned that Trump has also announced that the US will help Pakistan in the discovery and development of its oil (and gas) reserves. He said, it is different from the financial assistance that it has already got Pakistan from IMF and World Bank.

The Congress leader taunted and said, Prime Minister Modi used to talk about the top challenge about tomatoes, onions and potato prices in the country. Now India is facing a political challenge arising from Cap – China, America and Pakistan. Ramesh claimed, Prime Minister Modi invested a lot from President Trump in his personal friendship, just as he had earlier done with President Xi Jinping. But now the two leaders have understood how they can be able to be able to be done through their ego and self -realization.
