Many people do not apply for a driver’s license for fear of being circumvented by the RTO, while many people are afraid of taking a driving test. If you are one of them, there is good news for you.
You will no longer need to go to the RTO and take the test to get a driver’s license. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has laid down new rules for driving licenses. In fact, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has enacted new rules for accredited driver training centers. Candidates will be imparted high level driving training at these centers. People who pass the test will not have to take the test again at the RTO when applying for a driver’s license. These centers would have a driving test track with all the training facilities in which the candidates would be imparted high level driving training.
The Ministry said that under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, ‘Treatment’ and ‘Refresher’ syllabi would be made available at these centers. In addition, new rules have been developed for accredited driver training centers. These new rules will take effect on July 1, 2021. After passing the test at government-recognized centers, candidates will not have to go to the RTO for a driver’s license and take the test.

After receiving driving training from accredited training centers, it will be easier for drivers to obtain a driver’s license. This means you no longer have to take your motorcycle or car for the pre-licensing test. According to the new rules, only those driving training centers will be recognized which will meet the requirements related to location, driving track, IT and biometric system and training as per the prescribed syllabus. After the certificate is issued by the training center, it will reach the Subfit Motor Vehicle Licensing Officer and you will be issued a driving license.
