No money for marriage? Never mind is Yogi Sarkar, apply in Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana and bring the bride home

If you live in Uttar Pradesh and are facing problems in getting married due to the financially weaker section, then there is good news for you. Let us tell you that with the aim of supporting the daughters of the economically weaker sections in marriage, the Chief Minister Group Marriage Scheme has been given more transparent, effective and public interest. The government has set a target of getting more than one lakh couples married this year under this scheme. A comprehensive strategy has been made to reach the beneficiaries by connecting this scheme through strict monitoring and technical means.
After doubling the financial assistance amount in the scheme, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has now instructed to further strengthen the monitoring system of this scheme. The Yogi government is spending one lakh rupees on every couple since the financial year 2025-26. CM Yogi has said many times that this scheme is not just a marriage program, but a meaningful step towards social respect, transparency and empowerment of the needy.

Regarding this scheme, Minister of State for Social Welfare (Independent Charge) Asim Arun said that now the scheme is being made more simple, accessible and transparent through technical means so that it can benefit the real beneficiaries. For this, all stages ranging from the application process to the material supply are being brought under digital surveillance. He informed that special arrangements have also been made for the quality and distribution of gifts. Now the firms will not be selected from the Directorate level, not the district, so that the possibility of disturbances at any level can be eliminated.
Let us tell you that in order to maintain transparency and accountability in mass marriage programs, the government has decided to deploy the observer in the districts. Under this, the social welfare officer of one district will be sent as observer in another district. The presence of Divisional Deputy Director and District Social Welfare Officer will be mandatory in marriage ceremonies. The observer will report directly to the Directorate or Divisional Deputy Director for monitoring the program. This system will ensure that no irregularity is hidden. Now before the online application, the responsibility of the officers will be fixed on negligence in the base verification of the girl. Along with this, biometric attendance of both bride and groom at the wedding venue will be compulsory, so that fraud can be stopped.
Let us tell you that clear instructions have been given to the district officials from the government level that the list of eligible beneficiaries should be prepared as soon as possible and a dedicated campaign should be launched in this regard, so that every real character can get the benefit of the scheme. At the government level, it has been said that the application should be investigated in a transparent and accurate manner in all the districts, as well as the identity of eligible couples should be ensured in collaboration with local bodies, gram panchayat and Anganwadi centers.
Meanwhile, Deputy Director in charge of the scheme R.P. Singh said that this year the target of getting mass marriages of about one lakh couples has been set by the Social Welfare Department. It is not only a social assistance but also an attempt to increase collective cooperation, community spirit and women’s honor.
