Nitesh Rane has now advised the Thackeray Brothers to get Ajan in Marathi in madrasas. Nitesh Rane said that there is no need to do a separate school. There are many madrasas in Maharashtra. Instead of Urdu there, you start Marathi there. Your hard work will decrease. Why gimmick is needed to enter the media.

Rane was reacting to reports that the Congress was starting Marathi Schools (Schools) in some areas of Mumbai. Criticizing the move, he said that what is the need of the Congress to run a Marathi school? The opposition should ask Muslims to give azan in Marathi. Teach Marathi in madrasas instead of Urdu. Otherwise, only a gun will be available from there. He also commented on the businesses near the temples, saying that there are slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ outside our temples, but Abdul is sitting inside the shops.

Opposition described the comment as divisive

Many opposition leaders reacted sharply to Rane’s comment and described his rhetoric as inflammatory and dangerous. AIMIM leader Waris Pathan accused Rane and BJP of spreading hatred in the name of religion and language and demanded action from the Chief Minister. Congress leader Amin Patel denied Rane’s claims and said that madrasas already teach English and Hindi, and in some cases Marathi. Azan is a religious practice done in Arabic, not linguistic case.
