MLA Gurpreet Gogi’s wife Sukhchain Gogi sweetens her supporters
The Punjab government has appointed Sukhchain Gogi, wife of late Ludhiana MLA Gurpreet Gogi as the chairman of the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA). Sukhchain Gogi will take over in Sector 33-D in Chandigarh on 29 April.

Ludhiana assembly seat became vacant after the death of MLA Gogi. The Aam Aadmi Party has given ticket to Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora in the by -election to be held on this seat. The Gogi family was disappointed with this decision. Sukhchain Gogi was constantly in touch with voters and supporters of the region. His sons were also active in the area.

During the election campaign in Ludhiana, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann assured to give high position to the Gogi family. He had said that the government is standing with the family.
After appointment to the post of chairman, the Gogi family has thanked the government. Sukhchain Gogi said that she will fulfill her responsibility with full loyalty.
