Never thought that there will be a rift in the party, Sharad Pawar said on NCP’s foundation day

NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar said on Tuesday that he never thought that he would be partitioned by him 26 years ago and he appreciated his organization workers for advancing it despite challenges. Pawar was speaking at an event organized on the occasion of 26th Foundation Day of NCP, which will be divided in 2023. He said that the party faced some challenges, but you kept taking the party forward without discouraged. There was a partition in the party. We never thought that there would be partition in the party, but it happened.

Pawar said that some people went with other ideologies and this division increased further. I do not want to talk about it today. But those who remained loyal to the party were due to the ideology of our party. He said that a different picture will be revealed in the upcoming elections. In July 2023, NCP was divided after Sharad Pawar’s nephew Ajit Pawar joined the then Shiv Sena-BJP coalition government. The party’s name and its watch mark was given to the Ajit Pawar faction, while the former Union Agriculture Minister -led faction was named NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar).

Senior NCP leader (Sharad Chandra Pawar) Jayant Patil on Monday expressed his desire to resign from the post of Maharashtra state president, saying that the time has come that the party would give new faces a chance. Patil was speaking at an event organized on the occasion of the 26th Foundation Day of NCP (SP) in Pune, where party chief Sharad Pawar and other senior leaders were present on the stage. Patil said that Pawar Saheb gave me many opportunities. I was given a seven -year term. After all, the party should give a chance to new faces. I will request Sharad Pawar in front of all of you- finally, the party is of Pawar Saheb. They should take appropriate decisions on this. We still have to travel a long way.
