In a meeting between Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and Dutch Prime Minister Dick Scoff on Tuesday, New Delhi’s campaign against cross -border terrorism was discussed and India thanked him for the Netherlands strong stand against terrorism. Jaishankar, who visited the first foreign trip after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April and the recent clashes between India and Pakistan, met Shuf and discussed bilateral relations and global issues. Jaishankar said in a post on social media that Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted her heartfelt greetings and thanked him for the firm and firm trend of Netherlands against terrorism.
A statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs said that Jaishankar appreciated India for the statement of solidarity of Netherlands in the fight against terrorism. Jaishankar told Shuf that teams from both sides would focus on the goal of taking bilateral partnership to new heights. The statement said that the two sides expressed satisfaction over the growing strategic convergence in bilateral relations and agreed to strengthen the relationship through regular visits and exchange. Jaishankar also met his counterpart Casper Weldcamp and reviewed bilateral cooperation and regional and global developments.
The ministers focused on business, economy, science and technology, water, agriculture, health, education and cooperation in mutual relations between people. He also discussed ways to increase cooperation in new areas such as digital technology, semiconductor, AI and Green Hydrogen. During a separate meeting with Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brakelmans, Jaishankar discussed opportunities to strengthen defense and security cooperation. He also agreed to strengthen cooperation in defense.
