Impossible to compromise on draft law
Earlier on Tuesday, Shuki Freedman, Vice President of Jewish Jan Policy Institute, said that there is still a huge difference between the draft law and the party’s demands, which is less likely to compromise during that time. Freedman said that there is no immediate threat to Netanyahu’s rule by the party’s departure. Voting to dissolve the Parliament, which will collapse the government and will hold new elections, cannot be brought by the opposition until the end of the year. And the Summer holiday of Parliament, which will start at the end of this month and run till October, gives Netanyahu another chance to bridge the difference and bring the party back into the alliance.
