A day after the Nepal government lifted the ban on social media, a renewed protests started on the streets again on Tuesday morning, causing tension in Nepal. Two ministers have resigned since Monday, while the protesters are demanding the dismissal of Prime Minister KP Oli.
New Delhi on Tuesday issued a statement advising Indian citizens living in Nepal to “take care and follow the steps and guidelines issued by Nepali officials. According to news agency PTI, the statement comes at a time when there is an indefinite curfew in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu. Kathmandu District Administration Office has issued curfew orders till next notice from 8:30 am.
In Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, the authorities again imposed indefinite curfew on Tuesday, a few hours after the earlier issued order was removed. Kathmandu District Administration Office issued an order to implement curfew in the entire city till next information from 8.30 am. There were clashes between the security forces and groups of youth on Monday over the sanctions imposed on social media, killing 19 people and injuring more than 300 people. This step was taken to bring the situation under control.

The curfew released earlier ended at five in the morning on Tuesday. The notice issued by Kathmandu Chief District Magistrate Chitralal Rizal said, “The movement of people during curfew, any kind of gathering, protest, meeting and dharna will not be allowed.” However, the notice said, “However, the vehicles carrying ambulances, firefighters, health workers, were allowed to establish security with security personnel, tourists, media personnel and air travelers allowing them to come up with safety personnel. Will go. ”
The administration of Bhaktapur district also implemented indefinite curfew in several areas including Pepsicola, Radherade Chowk, Sallaghari, Duvakot and Changunarayan Temple from 8.30 am on Tuesday. The administration has also issued restrictive orders in some parts of Lalitpur adjacent to Kathmandu. Despite curfew orders, anti -government demonstrations under the leadership of students took place on Tuesday morning.
There have also been reports of demonstrations from Kalanki and Baneshwar in Kathmandu, and Chapagaon -Thchoon of Lalitpur district. Most of the students were included in the protesters who raised slogans like “do not kill students” in violation of the sanctions imposed on the meeting. According to eyewitnesses, protesters in Kalanki blocked the roads by burning tires in the morning.

Due to the implementation of curfew, people got nervous and ran towards grocery stores and drug stores to buy essential items. Public transport has come to a complete standstill and educational institutions have been closed. The government lifted the ban from social media forums late on Monday night to reduce people’s anger.
