Actually, there was a 31 thousand 500 crore boing deal between India and America. In 2021, the US State Department approved the original deal of six additional Boeing P-8i sea patrol aircraft in US $ 2.42 billion. Quoting defense sources, The Financial Express said in its report that India has decided to postpone the deal due to an increase of about 50 percent project costs. The report further claimed that the Ministry of Defense has decided to perform strategic re -evaluation and would play an important role in the final decision such as price hike, Bhurajiti and strategic autonomy.

Significantly, the Boeing P-8 Posidon is a multi-mission maritime patrol aircraft. It specializes in reconnaissance, intelligence information, search and rescue operations and anti -submarine campaigns. According to the information available on Boeing’s website, P-8 can fly to a height of 41,000 feet at a maximum speed of 490 knots. It can also carry out long distance patrol operations, as it has a fuel -filling system during the flight.
