Necessary updates brought up for UP Roadways fare before Diwali-Chhath, 10 % discount

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a reduction of up to 10% in the fares of all air -conditioned buses operated by the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) on the occasion. Continuity fare will remain in force till next notice. Highlighting the government’s focus on improving passenger services, Transport Minister (Independent Charge) Dayashankar Singh said here on Wednesday that the move aims to provide more comfortable and affordable travel experiences to the passengers.

This deficiency in fares is applicable to Janrath, Pink, Shatabdi, Volvo and AC sleeper bus services. However, this concession will not apply to the air -conditioned buses registered after 1 January 2024.

The current fare structure is as follows

Rent Structure (air -conditioned bus services):
3*2 bus service – Rs 1.45 per km
2*2 bus service – Rs 1.60 per km
High Category (Wolvo) Basen – Rs. 2.30 per kilometer
Air conditioned sleeper – Rs 2.10 per km
The Transport Minister also directed that special counseling should be provided to drivers and conductors to motivate them to attract more passengers so that the corporation’s gross revenue is not affected.
