NDA parliamentary party meeting on Tuesday, what is going to be a big decision?

An important meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary Party is scheduled to be held in Parliament Library Building (PLB) on Tuesday. NDA members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will be involved in this meeting. This meeting is being held amidst the deadlock in Parliament demanding the opposition to discuss the special intensive revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar. Opposition parties are demanding the withdrawal of SIR. Due to opposition opposition, the National Sports Administration Bill, 2025 and National Anti -Doping (Amendment) Bill, 2025 could not be discussed in the Lok Sabha.

Amidst the uproar by the opposition, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that after the all -party meeting, the BAC meeting was allotted time to discuss the National Sports Bill and the Anti -Doping Bill. He urged the members not to waste the time of the House and condemned his stand. Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandavya said that the bill is important and urged the opposition members to allow discussion.
BJP MP Jagdambika Pal, who was the Chairman, also urged the members to continue the discussion. He said that the House has not passed any bill since the commencement of monsoon session. Rijiju later said that despite the third week of the monsoon session, the opposition continued to obstruct the proceedings. The proceedings of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha houses have been repeatedly postponed due to the demand of the opposition to discuss the special review (SIR) in the Election State Bihar.

Rijiju had said last week that the government is ready to discuss any issue as per rules, but special intensive review (SIR) cannot be discussed as it is a constitutional body, the process done by the Election Commission of India. Rijiju told ANI, “I want to clarify that the government is ready to discuss any issue as per rules. Special review (SIR) cannot be discussed as it is a process done by a constitutional institution, and this is not happening for the first time….” The Election Commission has announced the last date for the Vice Presidential election schedule and the last date for filing nomination on 21 August. Both the ruling NDA and the opposition party can discuss the selection of their candidates in the coming days.
