Naxalite terror continues in Chhattisgarh, IED blast in Bijapur, DRG soldier martyred

Police said that a soldier of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) was killed and three others were injured in an improvised explosion (IED) explosion conducted by Naxalites on Monday in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.

 Officials said the condition of the injured soldiers is out of danger. After first aid, arrangements are being made to give them better treatment. He informed that other information will be given after the completion of the campaign. 

The incident occurred during a search operation conducted by a team of District Reserve Guards (DRG) in the National Park area of the district.According to the information, the deceased jawan has been identified as Dinesh Nag.

On Sunday, security forces recovered explosives after an encounter with Naxalites in Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh.The incident occurred after the surrender of four Maoists prizes of Rs 19 lakh.

On the information given by a Naxalite surrendering, security forces recovered a dump of Maoists in a wild hill on Gobra Road in the morning, with four BGL rounds, one hand grenade, 15 INSAS, 15 INSAS rounds and a magazine, 15 gelatin rods, 50 detonators, an SLR rifle magazine and Rs 16.50 lakh cash were recovered.

Among the four Naxalites surrendering, Deepak alias Bhima Mandavi was a Divisional Area Committee Member (DVCM), while Kailash alias Bhima Bhogam and Ranita alias Payaki were working as Area Committee members (ACMs) of the Maoist Organization.Another Naxalite has been identified as Sujita aka Karam.It is known that Mandavi had a reward of Rs 8 lakh, while Bhogam and Payaki had a reward of Rs 5-5 lakh and Rs 1 lakh on Karam.
