Today Nawazuddin Siddiqui is celebrating his 51st birthday.

Today, the whole world considers Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s acting talent. The journey of Bollywood was not so easy for Nawaz, born in a peasant family in Budhana, a small village in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. Sometimes worked as a watchman and sometimes he spent a biscuit.

Despite the tough struggle, Nawaz never lost courage. He had only one dream, becoming an actor. Even if it takes 50 years to fulfill this dream. So he did not make Plan B for his career.

Stay blind for a year

Nawazuddin Siddiqui had studied acting from Bharatendu Natya Academy before NSD (National School of Drama). Nawazuddin studied his acting for one and a half years at Bharatendu Natya Academy in Lucknow. He then enrolled in the National School of Drama in Delhi and studied there. During acting studies in Lucknow, Nawaz acted blind for a year to buy cheap vegetables. During this time the vegetable person could not understand that he is not blind.

Shivering is missed by seeing biscuits

Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vijay Raj lived together during the struggle in Delhi. Initially, he also worked as a watchman in Delhi. During that time there came a time when he had to live by eating biscuits. In an interview to Pinkvilla, Nawazuddin had said that during the struggle, Parle-G Biscuits were his breakfast, lunch and dinner. Whenever he felt hungry, he used to eat Parle-ji biscuits. Nawaz ate so much Parle-G biscuits in his life that he now gets shivering only after seeing this biscuit.

The guard stopped entering the set

Nawazuddin Siddiqui had to struggle a lot even after coming to Mumbai from Delhi. During an interview, Nawaz had told that when he used to go for auditions in the early stages of his career, people used to say that they do not look like an actor. This caused him anger and sorrow.

Sharing an anecdote of Aamir Khan’s film ‘Talaash’, Nawaz said that during the shooting of the film, a guard stopped him from entering the set. He was allowed inside only after convincing the guard.

People used to hate

People treated him very badly about Nawazuddin’s color and face. During the interview given to News18, Nawaz had said- some people hate my face, do not know why? Probably because I look bad. When I see in the mirror, I wonder why came the film industry with such a bad appearance?

Grapped the collar from the set

Nawazuddin Siddiqui recalled the era when he used to do small roles in films in a recent interview. During the shooting then he was treated badly on the set. Once Nawazuddin Siddiqui was caught out of the collar and was thrown out, as he was eating food where the main lead actors used to eat.

Nawazuddin had said on the arrangement of food on the set and the behavior of himself- the arrangement of food in the industry also varies. Junior is different for artist. For those who are large artists, they are separate and those who are main artists also have different arrangements. Many times I tried to eat there. Where lead actors used to eat, but from there, the collar was caught and banished.

Nawaz had accepted that he would not survive

There was a time when Nawaz did not even have money to eat. Because of this, his health started deteriorating. Seeing his deteriorating health, he accepted that he would not survive. Still he did not leave Bollywood. He stayed stuck, he was confident that Bollywood doors would definitely open for him. Even if it takes 50 years. Therefore, he did not make any other plan for his career.

Anurag Kashyap reprimanded fiercely

Anurag Kashyap’s film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ brightened the fate of Nawazuddin Siddiqui. In the podcast of Shubhankar Mishra, Nawaz narrated an interesting anecdote related to ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. During the shooting of this film, Anurag reprimanded Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Nawaz told that one day Anurag called and said that I am making a film. I am sending you a script. I read the 10-15 line of the character and understood that this is a great role. I will not leave this role under any circumstances.

Niharika Singh had made allegations of sexual harassment

After the success of the film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, Nawazuddin Siddiqui did not look back. After this film, he played many memorable characters, while he was also accused of sexual harassment. As part of the #MeToo campaign, former Miss India Earth and Bollywood actress Niharika Singh had accused Nawazuddin Siddiqui of sexual harassment.

According to Niharika, one morning when I was at home, Nawaz returned after shooting overnight. He lived around my house. I called him at home for breakfast. When I opened the gate, Nawaz held me hard. I tried to push them and after a lot of jolt, I was found out of her grip.

Many were in relationship with girls

I could not understand what to do with this relationship. Nawaz told me- My dream is that like Paresh Rawal and Manoj Vajpayee, his wife should be Miss India or actress. According to Niharika, after a long time he came to know that Nawaz is in a relationship with many girls and tells different stories to everyone. I had ended the relationship with them because of the lies coming out one after the other.

Started thinking of suicide

Panchayat fame actress Sunita Rajwar was the first girlfriend of Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Nawaz has mentioned this in his book ‘An Ordinary Life’. Nawaz, while referring to Sunita in her book, wrote that she was her first love, but Sunita left her due to poverty. Nawaz wrote that when he had a breakup due to unemployment, he started thinking even to suicide.

Actress said Nawaz I am disgusted by you

When Sunita read this book, she did not get anything except lies in it. Sunita then wrote a long post against Nawaz. Angered by these false things, Sunita wrote that Nawaz is disgusted by you. You do not know how to respect women.

I left you not because of your poverty, because of your poor thinking. You have proved with your biography that you are more poor than Nawaz I knew today. Neither did you know how to respect women nor learn now.

Used to send letters to the girl from a kite

During the interview to Pinkvilla, Nawaz shared an anecdote of childhood and confessed to liking a girl from his neighborhood. He had said- I used to send a girl from my neighborhood on a kite and send a letter. I used to fly the kite towards that girl’s roof. The girl used to take the letter from the kite. Many times I had to wait for the wind to be right. One day the girl’s father caught a letter. Then it became a bit difficult for both of us.

There was a fight with a friend in the girl’s affair

Swanand Kirkire and Nawazuddin studied together in NSD and both liked a girl. Swanand had told in an interview to Lalantop that he was walking in Pragati Maidan with the girl, when Nawazuddin also came there. There was a debate between the two about the girl who later turned into a quarrel. Swanand says that Nawazuddin did not like that he was walking alone with the girl.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui tightens Bollywood

However, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is at such a point today where he can openly put his point in front. Recently, he lashed out at Bollywood and said that Bollywood lacks new ideas and insecurity has pushed creativity back here. In Bollywood, the same thing is dragged for five years. When people get bored, then it is released. Insecurity has increased here. People think that if a formula is going on, repeat it again and again. Now two, three and four parts are being formed.
