ED said- we are not hiding anything The ED told the court that nothing is being hidden from our side. He is being given a chance to speak before being taken cognizance. We do not want it to take long to issue orders. Therefore, the court should issue a notice.

On this, the judge said that until the court is satisfied that the notice is needed, it cannot pass any order. Before issuing the order, it has to be seen that there is no shortage in it. The court has fixed May 2 for the next hearing of the case.

Action was taken to seize property before the charge sheet Earlier on 12 April 2025, action was taken to seize the attachment properties during the investigation. What is the National Herald case? BJP leader Subramanian Swamy accused Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Congress’s Motilal Vora, Oscar Fernandez, Sam Pitroda and Suman Dubey of the loss in 2012 of cheating the National Herald newspaper running in losses and rigging of money.

AJL is owned by Young Indian Private Limited. Both Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have a 38% stake in Young Indian. The Young Indian ED is under investigation over allegations of AJL and its assets obtained for Rs 50 lakh in lieu of alleged loan from the Congress.

Swamy had demanded action against Sonia, Rahul and Congress leaders for purchasing AJL worth Rs 2000 crore for only Rs 50 lakh. Swami alleged that all this was done to capture the Rs 2000 crore building of Herald House on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg in Delhi.
