Dehradun. A Uttarakhand Transport Corporation bus on its way from Mussoorie to Dehradun fell into a gorge on Sunday, injuring 20 passengers. According to information received from the police, 22 people were traveling in the bus at the time of the accident near the ITBP camp. At the same time, two people have died in this accident.

According to the information received, the Uttarakhand Roadways bus had left for Dehradun from the Messianic Lodge bus. The bus lost control and fell into a ditch on the Mussoorie-Dehradun road near Sher Ghadi, 5 km ahead of Mussoorie, at around 12 noon on Sunday. It is being told that there were 22 people including the driver in the bus. As soon as the information was received, ITBP personnel along with Mussoorie police reached and started rescuing the injured.

Officials said that the injured were immediately taken out of the ditch and taken to the hospital, where the condition of three is said to be critical. According to the police, the accident occurred due to sudden failure of the brake system, due to which the bus lost control and fell into a gorge 70 meters below. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed grief over the accident. He has instructed the officers to ensure proper treatment of the injured.
