The world’s richest person Musk has threatened to suspend the services of space capsules used to carry astronauts and other items to the international space station during a debate on social media on Thursday between US President Donald Trump and Allen Musk.
After Trump threatened to cut the government contracts given by Musk’s rocket company ‘SpaceX’ and Internet Satellite Service ‘Starlink’, Musk said in his reply on ‘X’, “SpaceX will start suspending his dragon spacecraft services immediately.”
It is not clear how effective Musk’s threat will prove to be, but the capsules developed with the help of government contracts are an important part of keeping the functioning of the space station.
NASA is also highly dependent on SpaceX for other programs, including sending other missions into space and bringing back astronauts. ‘SpaceX’ is currently the only American company capable of bringing the crew from the space station via dragon capsules.
