Under the leadership of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lok Sabha member Ravi Shankar Prasad, the multi -party delegation arrived at the French capital Paris on Sunday evening as part of the first stop of his mission of six countries to convey India about India’s policy of not tolerating terrorism.
The delegation includes Daggubati Purandeshwari, Priyanka Chaturvedi, Ghulam Ali Khatana, Dr. Amar Singh, Samik Bhattacharya, M Thambidurai, former Union Minister MJ Akbar and Ambassador Pankaj Saran.
The group has to hold meetings with various groups, thinker institutions and MPs in Paris before leaving to Italy and then to go to other European countries including Britain, Germany and Denmark.
On Sunday, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the delegation left for New Delhi, “We are together in the fight against terrorism. The seventh group of the multi -party delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad has left for six countries.
“The delegation will visit Britain, France, Germany, European Union, Italy and Denmark.” The tension between India and Pakistan had increased after the Pahalgam attack.
After the death of 26 people in the Pahalgam attack, India carried out accurate attacks on the terrorist structure in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (PoK) on the morning of May 7, after which Pakistan tried to attack Indian military bases on 8, 9 and 10 May.
The Indian side strongly responded to Pakistani actions. It was agreed to stop the military conflict after a talks between the Director General of the military operations of both sides on May 10.
