Ajay Devgan and Ritesh Deshmukh starrer Red-2 has been released in theaters today. Director Rajkumar Gupta’s film is a sequel to ‘Red’ in the year 2018. Apart from Ajay Devgan, Ritesh Deshmukh, the film stars Amit Sial, Vani Kapoor, Yashpal Sharma, Supriya Pathak in the lead roles. The film’s length is 2 hours 19 minutes. Dainik Bhaskar has rated the film a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

There is power in the story? Red 2 has once again brought the story of honest IRS officer Amay Patnaik (Ajay Devgan). This time his 75th transfer takes place in the city – an area where there is a dominance of the Union Minister and the public grandfather Dada Manohar Bhai (Ritesh Deshmukh). The public worships him like God. When Amay raides the grandfather’s hideout with his officials, there is nothing in the beginning. It is from here that a brain game starts, where laws and power are face to face.
The story is thrill, tension and also a purpose. The screenplay is agile and some moments are really az-off-the-sites. However some scenes seem to be excessively drawn and climax seems relatively approximate.
Whose magic in acting? Ajay Devgan is once again frozen in the role of Amay Patnaik – serious, firm and effective. But the real surprise is Ritesh Deshmukh, who has created his new image in a negative role. His calm but impressive style brings weight to the story. Amit Sial is the show Steler – his performance is easy and powerful. Vani Kapoor, Yashpal Sharma and Supriya Pathak have also shown full honesty with their characters.

How was the direction? Rajkumar Gupta has made a bold effort to give a new direction to the Red Franchise. The new background of the banquet, presenting a versatile artist like Ritesh Deshmukh, and molding the battle of the political power vs. system into the thriller style, is all compliment.
Goods:
Freshness in new settings and characters
Ritesh Deshmukh’s strong role
Tight screenplay and strong acting
Lacks:
In some scenes, excessive cinematic liberty
Some scenes look unnecessary
End estimated and relatively weak

Music and technical aspects Amit Trivedi’s background score maintains the stressful atmosphere of the story. Songs like ‘Tumne Dillagi’ are already familiar and bring emotional depth, but do not feel any special newness. Dance numbers are average. Cinematography is impressive in some scenes and is successful in maintaining the pace of editing film.
overall: If you liked ‘Red’, ‘Red 2’ would not disappoint either. It is an engaging crime-thriller in which strong performance, politics vs. There are some weaknesses, but the film is worth watching.
See or leave? See-Ajay Devgan and Ritesh Deshmukh’s competition makes this ‘Red-2’ special.
