1. Waqf law applicable: Violence in West Bengal, protesters pelted stones, burnt vehicles

The Waqf Amendment Act has been implemented across the country from Tuesday. The Ministry of Home Affairs gave this information. The Waqf Amendment Bill was passed from the Lok Sabha on 2 April, from the Rajya Sabha on 3 April. This law was enacted after the President’s approval on 5 April.
