According to information received, under the FAME II scheme, the government had set up 350 new EV charging stations across the country. With the rapid adoption and manufacture of this hybrid and electric, chargers for electric vehicles have been installed in cities like Chandigarh (48), Delhi (94), Jaipur (49), Ranchi (29) and Agra (10). Minister of State for Heavy Industries Krishan Pal Gurjar told Parliament that 520 charging stations and infrastructure worth Rs 43.4 crore have been sanctioned under Fame I.
