Monsoon surrounds the whole of India 9 days ago, Delhi and Jhajjham Rain in North India, IMD announced

The southwest monsoon, which is eagerly waiting across the country, has engulfed India long before the scheduled time this year. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) officially announced it on Sunday. The IMD had estimated the spread of monsoon across the country by 8 July, but nine days ago, on 29 June, the rain surrounded the whole of India.
Light to moderate rains were recorded in many parts of Rajasthan, western Uttar Pradesh and Haryana of North India including Delhi on Sunday.

Monsoon arrival in Delhi, yellow alert issued
IMD has issued a Yellow alert for Delhi on Sunday, forecasting to continue light to moderate rains for the next few days. The Meteorological Department said that the monsoon in Delhi reached its normal arrival date from June 27 late by two days.
A statement issued by IMD said, ‘South-west monsoon has moved forward in the remaining parts of Rajasthan, western Uttar Pradesh and Haryana today and the entire Delhi region. Thus, it covered the entire country on 29 June instead of the general date of July 8.

Monsoon moves compared to previous years
Last year, the southwest monsoon had covered the entire country until July 2, which was six days before its normal time. This year, the monsoon r However, according to the IMD, some ‘break’ was seen in the monsoon activity in the first week of June, after which it again gained momentum from June 12.
