Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer film L2: Empuran has been released in theaters on March 27, after which the film has been in controversy. The film shows the 2002 Gujarat riots, after which RSS started protesting, calling the film anti -Hindu. Amidst controversies, the censor board has now suggested a change in 17 scenes of the film.

According to India Today report, Kerala’s Central Board of Film Certification has seen the film again after the controversy escalated. The board has demanded revenge in 17 scenes, which are associated with showing the atrocities on Gujarat riots and women.

There will be change in these major parts

  • The film will change the scene of Gujarat riots.
  • Scenes showing atrocities against women will be removed.
  • There will be changes in many dialogues.
  • Dialogues mentioned by the National Investigation Agency will be muted.
  • There will be a change in the name of the villain Bajrangi of the film.

The board’s suggestion was accepted by the film’s producer Gokulam Gopalam and director Prithviraj Sukumaran also agreed. He says that if someone’s feelings are hurt by the film, then they have no objection to making changes. According to the instructions by the board, these changes will be completed by Monday, after which it will be screened. The changed film will be released by Wednesday.

Mohanlal was severely criticized due to the film

Mohanlal, who is playing the lead role in the film, is being severely criticized. It is alleged that he is at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army, yet he worked in a film which is an anti -Hindu political agenda. The RSS also alleges that the film has shown a unilateral story of the Gujarat riots, which has tarnished the party’s image.

The film’s collection crossed 100 crores in just 3 days

Film L2: Empuran had an opening of Rs 67.50 crore worldwide. At the same time, the worldwide film has crossed the 100 crore mark in three days. At the same time, it has earned 46 crores in India. The film’s earnings can be seen on weekends.
