The proceedings of the monsoon session of Parliament on Monday, July 21, 2025 days, started and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned from his post in the evening. However, he explained the reason for his resignation to poor health. The President also accepted his resignation. In a gazette notification signed by Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, the Ministry of Home Affairs made public the letter of resignation of Dhankhar. Information about the notification of the Ministry of Home Affairs was given in the Rajya Sabha today. When the meeting of the Upper House for the Question Hour started at twelve in the afternoon, the presiding president Ghanshyam Tiwari said that the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a notification on 22 July 2025 for the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar under Article 67 (A) of the Constitution.

The most funny thing was that when Jagdeep Dhankhar became the Vice President or before he was the Governor of West Bengal, he was considered very cherished by the BJP. But even after this, Jagdeep Dhankhar did not come to give a farewell speech. Will there be some reason behind this? If you look at the post of PM Modi, then it seems to be a mere formality. It seems as if the government’s burden has become lighter. PM Modi said in his post that Mr. Jagdeep Dhankhar ji has got the opportunity to serve the country in many roles including the Vice President of India. I wish him good health.

A statement of Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat came out a few weeks ago. In which he described 75 years as the age of retirement. 74 -year -old Bhagwat had said that Moropant Pingale had said that when 75 -year -old shawl is covered, we mean that we are old, now we should get a little edge. Bhagwat said that Moropant Pingale had introduced the ideal of retiring after the age of 75, working away from fame in the Sangh. This simply means that when the age of 75 years, the politician takes the rest of the main politics and sit outside. Which gives new faces a chance. Now when Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said, it was simply meant that this message was to the BJP’s organization. If the BJP’s organization got a message, then the discussion also intensified in the media that this year PM Modi will turn 75 years old. So will Narendra Modi resign? After the resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar, some people are discussing whether any way has been vacated for PM Modi? If the first wicket fell after that statement by Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat, then it belongs to Jagdeep Dhankhar.

There was a demand for discussion on the impeachment of Justice Yashwant Verma. The Working Committee gave time to discuss this. Jagdeep Dhankhar agreed to discuss Justice Verma without consideration with the government. It is said that Dhankhar said to the General Secretary of the House that you should do whatever necessary action is taken regarding this. This thing did not embrace the government. There was no discussion from Parliamentary Affairs Minister to senior Rajya Sabha leader JP Nadda. After the Chairman’s decision alone, it turned into a hot talk. If sources are to be believed, Parliamentary Affairs Minister did not reach the meeting of the Working Committee. JP Nadda also did not reach. Only the opposition of the opposition reached. It appeared like a boycut. Jagdeep Dhankhar took it to his importance. He asked the Center this question and asked why it was done. I am the Chairman.

When the conflict increased, he reached the level that Jagdeep Dhankhar had a direct debate with JP Nadda. It is being said that a call came in the meantime. Whose call was this, nothing has been disclosed yet. The same call said that you have two options left. If you want to stay in office, then stay according to the government, otherwise you have the second option to resign. Jagdeep Dhankhar could not tolerate this thing and he resigned. It is being said that JP Nadda has opposed more than the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju did not protest. For the first time in the history of India’s democracy, the proceedings of Parliament are going on and the Vice President has resigned.
