Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA at Sri Chamkaur Sahib. Charanjit Singh’s car collided with the i20 car coming from the front. The woman in the car was injured and was rushed to hospital. The private vehicle in which Channi was riding had a Punjab Sarkar (Punjab Sarkar) plate attached to it.
The accident took place at a junction near the canal bridge. The MLA’s car collided head-on with another I-10 car. At the time of the accident, MLA Dr. Charanjit Singh was in his car, which was being driven by his driver. A woman in the other car was injured in the collision and was hospitalized.
After the accident, the family of the injured woman argued with the MLA and those accompanying them. The family alleged that the MLA’s car was too fast, which led to the accident. Dr. Charanjit Singh left the scene shortly after.
On getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot. They have registered a case and started investigation into the cause of the accident. The accident is said to have taken place at a junction near the canal bridge. However, the police is refraining from commenting on the matter.

Dr. Charanjit Singh joined a protest organized by the Kharar Bar Association, where the protest was against the annexation of 35 villages in Rupnagar district. The MLA denied the plan, but protesters demanded written evidence. When the atmosphere became heated, the lawyers calmed the crowd.
