Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has arrived in New Delhi to attend the 10th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog to be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025. The objective of this meeting to be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to discuss the national policy and development strategies. The Chief Minister is accompanied by his secretaries Muruganantham and Shanmugam, personal assistant Dinesh Kumar and two security officers. In the delegation, Tamil Nadu Public Works Minister E.V. Velu, Additional Chief Secretary M. Ram Sharma and MP Dayanidhi Maran, Jagatrakshakan and Kalanidhi Veerasamy are included.

The agenda is expected to focus on topics such as economic development, federal cooperation and implementation of central government schemes at the state level.
CM Stalin’s participation underlines Tamil Nadu’s commitment to active participation in national policy dialogues and its active approach to addressing state-specific concerns within a comprehensive national structure. After the meeting, CM Stalin is scheduled to return to Chennai on Saturday night. Earlier on Wednesday, Stalin held the Leader of Opposition Edappadi. Palaniswami was attacked to question the NITI Aayog meeting on coming to Delhi. Stalin said that he is attending the meeting to emphasize the proper financial claims of Tamil Nadu.
